Nam Long (HOSE: NLG) charted in 2023’s Top 50 Corporate Sustainability Awards.

Nam Long received high praise from the judging panel at this year's awards and was awarded the "Outstanding Risk Management Platform" category. The award recognizes companies with prominent risk management policies related to production and business activities, enabling them to easily regain momentum for sustainable recovery and development after market fluctuations or economic crises.

This year's Corporate Sustainability Awards (CSA) recognized 18 categories under the ESG criteria (Environment - Social - Governance) to acknowledge and honor outstanding businesses in implementing sustainable development strategies, committing to green growth, and fulfilling their community responsibilities. The judging panel included leaders from many reputable domestic and international organizations such as HSBC Bank, Deloitte Company, PwC Vietnam Company, Institute of Circular Economic Development (ICED), VinaCapital, Schneider Electric Vietnam, and Investment Bridge Magazine.

In recent years, ESG standards have become essential for businesses due to increasing monitoring from investors and changes in consumer and customer expectations. Therefore, businesses must aim to comply with environmental, social, and governance-related issues. Nam Long has made sustainable development one of its important development goals in recent years. The company has identified business management as a core factor to ensure efficient development and sustainable growth. To achieve this goal, Nam Long has implemented and put into operation an ERM risk management system (Ernst & Young consulting firm), an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system (Deloitte consulting firm), along with various programs to transform the group scale with McKinsey consulting firm. These initiatives have contributed to strengthening a solid management foundation, helping the company control risks tightly, and make timely decisions and strategies appropriate to business operations.

In its long-term business strategy, Nam Long prioritizes developing leading products in the "affordable housing" segment with sustainable markets such as EHome/Flora/Valora. The company also aims to build important social infrastructure to attract residents to its integrated townships accompanying the national housing development strategy. In 2022, Nam Long was also one of the few investors selected by IFC (International Finance Corporation - a member of the World Bank) to cooperate in developing green and sustainable housing projects in Waterpoint township, Long An province, contributing to meeting urgent housing needs while coping with climate change in Vietnam. It will also create 1,500 jobs and create a satellite city providing housing for over 50,000 people.

Alongside business activities, Nam Long also actively contributes to social activities. Notably, it has the annual scholarship program "Swing for Dreams" which has supported thousands of students in difficult circumstances for 14 years; the "Nam Long Fresh" program with the message "Join Hands to Build a Green Planet," accompanying local construction programs and community welfare programs...
