Nam Long Group (Hose: NLG) continues to present in the 50 most effective business companies in Vietnam 2021

This is the 5th year that Nam Long has been continuously listed in the "50 Most Effective Business Companies in Vietnam". 2021 is also a milestone year as Nam Long officially joined the billion-dollar business club on the stock exchange as well as maintained an impressive growth rate and operating efficiency remained at an effective level (ROE of 17.5%) despite facing many difficulties caused by the pandemic.

The “50 Most Effective Business Companies in Vietnam” list is an annual ranking hosted by Nhip Cau Dau Tu magazine and Thien Viet Securities in HCMC under advice from economic specialists from Havard and references from global rankings by Bloomberg Businessweek, Fortune, Forbes. The list is evaluated based on measuring the business results of companies for 3 consecutive years, based on 3 growth indicators: revenue, return on equity (ROE), and return on share.

In the past year, despite the pandemic interrupting for nearly 6 months, Nam Long still achieved some remarkable results, including breaking records for revenue and profit at VND 6000 billion and VND 1072 billion. Nam Long also strived to exceed 20% of the total projected handover products of Akari phase 1, simultaneously deployed large scale township projects of different market segments from mid to high end, such as 165- hectare Southgate (Waterpoint Phase 1), 26-hectare Mizuki Park, 170-hectare Izumi City, 43-hectare Can Tho II Central Lake. Nam Long Land - the Group’s core business unit has also prepared legal documents and construction permits for Flora Akari phase 2, The Mizuki luxury villas, Flora Panorama (Mizuki), The Aqua compound (Southgate- Waterpoint) to expedite progress in the Q1/2022. Over the year, at the project level, the company has cooperated with Hankyu Realty (Japan) to develop the 170-hectare Izumi township, and with Nishitetsu to develop the 45-hectare Nam Long - Dai Phuoc township. The group also acquired a new land fund Nam Long - An Dong - PG Hai Phong. In addition, the company still fulfilled its responsibility with the society by continuing the development of affordable EHome products in other provinces such as Can Tho, Long An, Hai Phong to provide people with more feasible housing opportunities. Last year, 200 EHome Southgate commercial apartments became the first apartments to be highly welcomed in Long An, opening a new potential market for the group.

From a management point of view, Nam Long has announced its vision for the period from 2021 to 2030 which is expanding its core business from focusing on affordable housing to integrated township and mega city projects with sizes of hundreds of hectares located in key economic areas. To execute this growth strategy, Nam Long invited strategic consulting partner McKinsey, and reputable managing organizations such as Deloitte, PWC to build digital management platforms such as ERP, ERM systems in addition to switching its model to more flexible and self-responsible business units. Last year, Nam Long Group also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with TBS Land, the company with a good land fund and soon-to-be invested by IFC, a member of the World Bank, with projected capital of USD $44 million.
